描述：Gamma-Synuclein (originally known as a breast cancer specific gene product, BCSG1) is an acidic neuronal protein of 127 amino acids. It is up-regulated in the majority of late-stage breast and ovarian cancers. Gamma-synuclein may be a potential marker for both late stage breast and ovarian cancers. More recently, it has been shown that gamma-synuclein promotes cancer cell survival and inhibits stress- and chemotherapy drug-induced apoptosis by modulating MAP kinase pathways.
