Narishige's NMN-25 packs similar features to those of the NMN-21 into a thinner drive unit to facilitate multi-channel recording. The placement of all three axes' control knobs in one plane instead of three, and the adoption of a simpler holder fixing block, enables several manipulators to be installed and operated close together without interfering with each other. Installation on an isolation table makes use of multiple manipulators straightforward. Like the NMN-21, which was developed specially for patch clamping, this mechanical manipulator integrates coarse and fine movements, and employs a body design which absorbs vibrations.
