Anti-hCG-HRP Conjugate
HRP (horseradish peroxidase) is an enzyme that oxidizes its chromogenic substrate and consequently leads to an altered emission of the substrate. This biochemical reaction is used within ELISA technology. The results of the ELISA test are made visible by measuring the optical density in the cavities of the microtiter plate. HRP is conjugated via stable covalent bonds to the component that binds the immobilized analyte during the ELISA procedure, such as secondary antibodies or antigens. Unbound conjugate is removed with several wash steps. After adding the substrate, the color in the cavities changes until finally the stop solution is added.The Astra Biotech HRP conjugates are intended for use in ELISA and Western blot to obtain reproducible results.
